Is solar the future of boating?

Solaris is the Hudson River Maritime Museum’s fully solar-powered tour boat. She was built on-site at the Hudson River Maritime Museum’s Wooden Boat School in 2018 by the Museum’s restoration crew. She holds the prestige of being the first solar-powered boat licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard as a passenger vessel.
